Australia Post contributed $6 billion to the national economy last financial year and created tens of thousands of additional jobs across the nation, a new report from Deloitte Access Economics has found. The report, out today, found that Australia Post facilitates 82 per cent of Australia`s booming $14 billion eCommerce market and that 80 per cent of Australians see no convenient alternative for receiving parcels other than through the post office. It also found that for every worker Australia Post employed, another job was secured in the community.
