Google will soon begin mandatory quality reviews for Wear OS apps

Better Wear OS apps are coming soon 🙏 While it may be in something of a slump right now, one strong suit that Wear OS has had for some time is its developer support. There are a ton of apps available for Google's wearable platform, and starting this year, Google will be implementing measures to ensure that apps created for Wear OS are as high quality as can be. Google currently has an optional review process that Wear OS apps can go through, but starting October 1, 2018, all new apps that are created will be required to go through and pass it. As Google notes in its blog post on the Android Developers Blog: We hope this lightweight app review process will improve the quality of Wear app experiences across the wide range of devices available to your users.
