The A`s are now one game back of the Astros, who suffered their fifth straight loss, for the AL West lead. Robinson Cano went 1-for-4 in his first game back from his 80-game suspension for the Mariners. Felix Hernandez made his first career relief appearance after James Paxton left in the first inning after being hit on the arm by a comebacker.
