Red-eye flights to boost Pune´s air connectivity

PUNE: The Lohegaon airport is expected to get 20 new flights in the winter schedule from October 28. However, with the daytime slots having been exhausted, most of those flights are expected to be late evening or red-eye flights. `Only night slots are being permitted for any additional flights, that too between 11.30pm and 6am,` an airport official said. `Some new flights will get the preferred daytime slots. However, it is not possible for all to have such slots, considering the constraints,` the official added.
