Springer to DL with thumb sprain

The Astros placed All-Star outfielder George Springer on the 10-day disabled list with a sprained left thumb, an injury he suffered Sunday at Dodger Stadium. To take Springer`s spot on the 25-man active roster, they recalled outfielder Derek Fisher from Triple-A Fresno on Monday.
