Because of the nature of the event--which is extreme--weapons were used on wrestlers during the show, and it was completely legal. However, this was a tamer Extreme Rules than ones from the past. There was only one extreme rules match for the Raw Women`s Championship. Aside from that, there was a steel cage match and a tables match, but the rest of the event was pretty low-key compared to ones in the past.
