Met dept forecasts heavy rain till Saturday

MUMBAI: Since the onset of monsoon until end of Tuesday, Mumbai received 60% of its required annual rainfall of 2,515mm. According to IMD, heavy rainfall will continue in the city till Saturday. However, it has said that after Wednesday, heavy to very heavy rainfall will be seen only in parts of the city. Between Monday and Tuesday, the city, at 184mm, also received the highest 24-hour rainfall at the IMD´s Santacruz observatory since 2015.
