New passenger car registrations rose by 3.4% in the first half year 2018, alternative drives: +23.7%

Press release: 11.822-133/18 Vienna, 2018-07-10 - From January to June 2018, 192 861 new passenger cars were registered according to Statistics Austria - by 3.4% more than in the same period in the previous year. Thus, the current half-year-result exceeded the result for the first half of 2017 by 6 300 registrations. In 2018, the months January (+8.4%), February (+4.7%), April (+5.4%), May (+0.4%) and June (+7.3%) recorded increases; only March (-3.9%) showed decreasing registration figures for new passenger cars....
