5-run Sox rally ends 17-inning scoreless drought

With two outs and nobody on base in the top of the third inning on Sunday afternoon, there was no reason to believe a scoring drought that started on Friday night for the Red Sox was about to end. Not only did it end, but the Boston bats erupted for a five-spot against Mariners righty Mike Leake.
