Toronto Fire crews battling 2-alarm fire in Little Italy, second of the day

Firefighters battled a two-alarm fire in a restaurant in Little Italy Sunday afternoon.Fire crews were called just after 2 p.m. to the area of College St. and Grace St., after heavy black smoke was seen billowing out of a restaurant in a two-storey building.District Chief Stephan Powell confirmed to the Star that the fire has now been knocked down. No injuries were reported and there is no cause known at this time.Toronto police said people residing in apartments on the second floor were evacuated. Fire crews knocked down an apartment blaze in Scarborough around 11 a.m. A woman was rushed to hospital in critical condition after she was pulled out from fire.
