Cyclist killed after collision may have been shot, Toronto paramedics say

A cyclist has died after being struck by a vehicle and possibly shot Saturday afternoon in the Dundas and Dufferin area, Toronto police said.Police said they received the call around 5:30 p.m. The male cyclist was unconscious and not breathing when they arrived at Frankish and Sheridan Aves.Paramedics said that it was possible the man had been shot, as he appeared to have gunshot wounds. He was taken to hospital in life-threatening condition, where he later died. Paramedics said they do not know whether it was the gunshot wounds or the collision that caused the cyclist’s death.The vehicle hit a tree after hitting the cyclist, and police said witnesses described seeing three men leave the car and flee on foot before police arrived. The three men were all wearing dark sweatshirts and pants.
