Port St Mary RNLI rescues two people after yacht runs aground off Isle of Man

Following a request from Belfast Coastguard at 6.25pm today (Friday 25 May) Port St Mary RNLI`s inshore lifeboat was launched to assist a 28ft yacht with two people onboard which had gone aground on rocks close to the main slipway between the harbour and breakwater. At 6.31pm the Spirit of Leicester with its volunteer crew of four was launched and reached the yacht, which had been blown onto the rocks by a force 6 easterly wind, in five minutes .
