David Hawk Among Appointees To COPA Advisory Council

State Rep. David Hawk, of Greeneville, is among the appointees named to an advisory council tasked with providing oversight to the region´s newly formed Ballad Health network. Ballad Health was the result of the merger between the health system giants Wellmont Health System and Mountain States Health Alliance. With that merger came strict oversight regulations from both the State of Tennessee and the Commonwealth of Virginia. The state of Tennessee issued a certification of public advantage, also known as a COPA, on Jan. 31, 2018.
