PRESS RELEASE 24 May 2018 Euro area investment fund statistics: first quarter of 2018 o In the first quarter of 2018 the outstanding amount of shares/units issued by investment funds other than money market funds was EUR11,209 billion, which is EUR5 billion lower than in the fourth quarter of 2017. o Investment funds other than money market funds increased their holdings of debt securities issued by the rest of the world and decreased equity issued by the rest of the world. Holdings of debt securities issued by euro area residents increased and equity decreased. o Equity funds registered an inflow of EUR62 billion in the first quarter of 2018 and mixed funds experienced an inflow of EUR57 billion. o...
