Mayor Frank Jackson appoints Tracy Martin-Thompson as point person for addressing youth crime, violence

Martin-Thompson replaces Duane Deskins, who resigned April 27 as chief of the Office of Prevention, Intervention and Opportunity for Youth and Young Adults. She will be responsible for implementing a plan Deskins designed to address poverty, crime and a sense of helplessness - sources of stress that can lead to youth violence.
