Cubs place Heyward on concussion DL

The Cubs placed outfielder Jason Heyward on the 7-day concussion disabled list before Tuesday night`s game against the Marlins. Infielder David Bote was recalled from Triple-A Iowa to fill the spot of Heyward, whose DL assignment is retroactive to Monday. Heyward was injured on the final play of Sunday night`s Cubs game, which the Cardinals won in the 14th inning on a walk-off home run by Dexter Fowler.
