Lance McCullers Jr. gave up a solo homer to Robinson Cano in the first, then held the Mariners hitless for the rest of his seven innings while striking out a career-high-tying 11. Ariel Miranda held the Astros to one run over five innings in his 2018 debut, but a Brian McCann homer off Seattle reliever Dan Altavilla broke a 1-1 tie and sent Houston to its first win in four games.
