High-speed driver takes out power pole

A man who had been fleeing police this morning crashed his car into a utility pole Truman Road and Delaware Avenue in Independence, shearing the pole across the street from the Truman Home and causing a power outage that covered a few blocks.The outage, among other places, affected the Truman Home, the Truman Memorial Building and the Palmer Center, which could not serve lunch to senior citizens.Police captured two people, one man and one woman, less than two blocks away ......
