Rachel Platten has become the latest singer to screw up the U.S. national anthem. The Fight Song singer was performing The Star-Spangled Banner at the Chicago Red Stars vs Utah Royals National Women´s League Soccer game on Saturday, when she messed up the first line of the song. After replacing `dawn` with `stars`, she quickly realized her error, and the 36-year-old restarted the tune before awkwardly stopping again and asking for the correct lyric. `I´m so sorry,` she said. `Could someone tell me the next line?` Red-faced Platten recovered and finished the song in style, receiving rapturous applause from soccer fans at the game.
