Apple launches new 9.7-inch iPad aimed at students and teachers

As expected, Apple announced a new 9.7-inch iPad at its education event in Chicago. The next-generation model features similar specs to the discontinued 9.7-inch iPad Pro. It even includes Apple Pencil support and a faster A10 Fusion chip. Current iPad Pro models, like the 10.5-inch, are powered by Apple's A10X chip, as a comparison.
