Peel police are receiving tips from the public on the possible identity of three men who viciously beat a man with autism at the Square One bus terminal Tuesday night, leaving him with a broken nose and cuts to his face.“We have been getting tips and (investigators) are doing follow-ups,” confirmed Peel spokesperson Const. Harinder Sohi Thursday morning.The 29-year-old victim was treated and released from hospital.“His nose was broken, and he had lacerations to his face,” Sohi said.Social media has been awash with public outrage over the “brief and shocking” attack ever since police appealed for help finding the attackers and released security video footage of the seemingly random violence.Surveillance video released by police shows the man, 29, sitting on the bottom of a flight of stairs and lacing up a pair of rollerblades when he was approached behind by three men around 10:45 p.m. The man was punched in the face before the three unidentified males repeatedly punched, kneed and stomped on him. The assault appeared to last under 10 seconds. “This young man was sitting there and three punks started beating on him ... He did not deserve this,” wrote Nicole Ed on Facebook.The victim was taken to hospital following the assault on the stairs of the bus terminal’s lower level.The three suspects are described as South Asian males with a light to medium complexion. One had a short beard and was wearing a black T-shirt with a red Air Jordan logo and white Jordan lettering, with black track pants and black shoes.Another was clean-shaven, wearing a black jacket with a grey horizontal stripe across the chest and a grey vertical stripe along the hood, black track pants and black shoes.The third was unshaven, wearing a black hoodie with a Nike logo on the front and white Nike lettering along the sleeves, black track pants and black shoes.Anyone with information can call police at 905-453-2121, ext. 1233 or Peel Crime Sto ...
