Call Of Duty: WW2's The Resistance DLC Releases For Xbox One / PC Next Week
(GameSpot Wii News)

Thanks to its exclusivity period with Sony, Call of Duty: WWII`s first expansion, The Resistance, has been available on PS4 since the end of January, but Xbox One and PC players will soon finally have a chance to pick it up as well. Activision has announced the DLC map pack will arrive for the latter two platforms next week. The expansion introduces three new multiplayer maps to the WWII shooter: Valkyrie, Anthropoid, and Occupation, all of which Sledgehammer says revolve around the theme of resistance. The DLC pack also adds a new War mode map called Operation Intercept, which has players attempting to rescue French resistance fighters and escaping the war zone safely. In addition to the new maps, The Resistance expansion comes with a new chapter in the Nazi Zombies mode called The Darkest Shore. This chapter is set on a `secluded` island and introduces new weapons, smarter types of zombies to battle, and a fog environmental effect that makes it much more difficult to spot approaching enemies. The Resistance launches for Xbox One and PC on March 1, a month after it debuted on PS4. The expansion is included in Call of Duty: WWII`s season pass, which runs for $50 / £40 / AU $65. Players also have the option to purchase it separately for $15 / £11.59 / AU $20.45.Call of Duty: WWII was the highest-grossing game in North America in 2017, followed by another Activision-published shooter, Destiny 2. Michael Condrey and Glen Schofield, the founders of Call of Duty: WWII developer Sledgehammer Games, recently left the company to take executive-level positions at Activision HQ. Activision has also confirmed that this year`s Call of Duty title is being developed by Treyarch, adding further fuel to the rumors that the game will be Black Ops 4.
