Frank Brennan saw the lone dolphin, its head sticking out of the water, looking like it was struggling to swim. The longtime boat captain with Dana Wharf Whale Watching said he’s seen millions of common dolphins the past 20 years, so he knew when he saw this one in the distance on Saturday afternoon, Jan. 13, something was wrong.
