City holds town hall on water disinfection; subject of future rate hikes broached

A small group of Artesians gathered at the Artesia Center Thursday for a town hall meeting on the city´s water system. In addition to Mayor Phillip Burch and city councilors Terry Hill, Bill Rogers, Raul Rodriguez, Jeff Youtsey, Luis Florez and Kent Bratcher, four city employees, and four representatives of Occam Engineers Inc., the company hired by the city to make recommendations regarding water disinfection systems, eight private citizens were in attendance.
