Redbox announces new on demand service, coming soon to Apple TV

Redbox has announced a new on demand streaming service which is coming to Apple TV `in the coming weeks,` according to BestAppleTV.com. Redbox On Demand is different from the company's subscription service Redbox Instant. Speaking to Variety, Redbox CEO Galen Smith described the new service as a `natural extension` of the company's rental kiosks. Customers can rent movies and television shows from $1.99 to $3.99 and purchase digital copies for $9.99. Tags: NewsRedbox
