Denver hires firm to manage $937 million bond program

Atkins North America Inc. has been chosen to help city officials spend the $937 million worth of new general obligation bonds that Denver voters approved in November, city officials announced Wednesday. Atkins North America Inc. is a Tampa, Florida-based engineering consultant firm with more than 2,500 employees and 75 offices throughout the U.S. The first bonds are expected to be issued in mid-2018, the city said.
