Colorado teacher arrested, charged with attempted sexual exploitation of a child

DOUGLAS COUNTY, Colo. - A Douglas County School District teacher was arrested and charged with three counts of attempted sexual exploitation of a child Friday, according to Castle Rock police. Steve Jenkins was arrested and booked into the Douglas County Jail after school district officials were made aware Jenkins `was using his cell phone inappropriately,` according to a Castle Rock Police Department spokesman. Jenkins is being held without bond. Paula Hans, a spokeswoman for the Douglas County School District, said Jenkins worked as a math teacher for three years at Castle View High School - from August 2014 to May 2017 - before he went to Renaissance Secondary School.
