CAT stays filling up of IAS post with Haryana employee

CHANDIGARH: The Chandigarh bench of the Central Administrative Tribunal (CAT) on Monday stayed the process of appointing one person to the IAS cadre from among government employees. The Haryana government had suggested five names for the post to the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC). This included Dr Asha Sharma, daughter of Haryana education minister Ram Bilas Sharma and Lajpat Rai, brother of deputy speaker of the Haryana assembly, Santosh Yadav.
