Mostafa el Waziry the secretary general of the Supreme Council of Antiquities announced that the discovered statues are made of black granite, the longest of them is two meters in height. Some of the statues are of Goddess Sekhmet sitting on the throne holding in their left hands The Ankh, which is a pharaonic hieroglyphic ideograph symbolizing life, while the others show Sekhmet standing holding a mace of papyrus, their heads decorated with sun and Ouroboros snake. ......
