Bungie Cancels Destiny 2 Curse Of Osiris Stream To Address Recent Controversy Instead

The third of Bungie`s three Destiny 2 livestreams dedicated to Curse of Osiris has been canceled. In lieu of its planned stream on Wednesday, the developer will instead release a blog post that shares some `higher priority information,` which seems to be in response to the recent uproar over the discovery of an undisclosed XP scaling system.`Tomorrow, we had planned to conduct the final stream prior to the launch of Curse of Osiris to show off some of the weapons and armor the expansion includes,` Bungie`s David `DeeJ` Dague wrote on the developer`s forums. `Instead, we are investing all our efforts into delivering some higher priority information about Destiny 2. You`ll hear from studio leadership about their assessment of Destiny all up, they`ll talk about our goals for the game going forward, and you`ll also learn about how we`re reacting to your feedback with some game updates that will arrive in the next few weeks.`All of this will be shared in a post on Bungie`s website at some point on Wednesday. The stream has seemingly been canceled altogether, and Activision confirmed with GameSpot that there won`t be one this week. It`s unclear if there are still plans to share those Curse of Osiris details at some other point. There`s not much time left to do so, as its release is planned for December 5.Game director Luke Smith recently announced that, at some point this week, Bungie would share details about some key changes coming to Destiny 2. He also said that he and project lead Mark Noseworthy would be `answering some questions and addressing community feedback we`ve been reading since launch.`Although Smith offered no further specifics, it seems likely that complaints about the perceived lack of an end-game will be addressed. Perhaps just as importantly, they may also discuss the aforementioned controversy that emerged last week.
