School bus gets entangled in sagging power cables in Sector 8

GURUGRAM: A major tragedy was averted on Monday morning when a bus, belonging to the Delhi Public School-Ghaziabad (DPSG) in Palam Vihar got entangled in sagging cables in the western part of the city. The bus was crossing Kabir Bhavan Chowk near Sector 8 at around 7.30am on Monday when it ran into the cables hanging low across the road. A school official said the bus plies on the route every day. On Monday morning, the mishap was caused by cables that had sagged overnight, after the transformer they emerged from next to the road had leaned to one side because of excavation work on an adjacent plot.
