Torch relay travels through Nelson on way to Special Olympics

More than 50 people took part in the Nelson leg of a nationwide torch relay this weekend to launch the Special Olympics National Summer Games. The `Flame of Hope` was carried through the centre of town from Nelson Police station to the Cathedral steps on Saturday, in a procession that included more than 40 local athletes and 12 police officers.
