Some forum attendees push to `keep bypass corridor`

CONWAY - What should be done with the unfunded Route 16 bypass and the land acquired for the bypass corridor? Opinions voiced at a forum hosted by the state Department of Transportation at Kennett Middle School on Wednesday varied. Twenty-six of the 60 attendees voiced their opinions to state officials. A few urged the state to find the money to build the bypass as a traffic solution; many said the bypass is no longer needed. A slight majority said the state should save the corridor for the long term.
