Rains, power purchase end load shedding

Nagpur: Widespread rains in recent days coupled with additional power purchase from open market by the discom MSEDCL has resulted in `zero` load shedding in the state since October 7. According to discom source there would be no load shedding during Diwali and after that also there was little chance of power cuts as ambient temperature would go down. As of now, the number of hours of supply of three phase power to farmers remains 8 hours a day - down from 10 hours. The number of hours will be increased after power situation improves further.
