Construction company breaks ground on hotel in Pineville

A four-story, 103-room hotel has broken ground in Pineville. Hendrick Construction, based in Charlotte, has begun work on a Fairfield Inn & Suites at 12228 Park Road, near the Interstate 485 interchange with Highway 51. Hotel Ventures of Pineville based in Martinez, Ga., is the hotel owner. It acquired the three-acre site last year for nearly $1.2 million, according to Mecklenburg County real estate records.
