Halliburton, Microsoft team up in tech partnership

Seattle-based Microsoft Corp. (Nasdaq: MSFT) and Houston-based Halliburton Co. (NYSE: HAL) announced a deal Aug. 22 to provide machine learning, augmented reality and internet of things technology for the oil and gas industry. The companies did not disclose terms of the arrangement in a news release.
