Traders allege cops framed hookah bar owners for bribe

Greater Noida: Traders in Jagat Farm market shut shops on Sunday to protest against the police`s act of arresting two restaurant owners under Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act (NDPS). The traders alleged that the arrest came after the restaurant owners refused to pay bribe to the police personnel. A team from Kasna police station conducted a raid at D`Wood Cafe in G M Mall on Friday, after receiving complaints of an illegal hookah bar operating in it. Following the raid, the police arrested owners of the restaurant, Himanshu Mittal (25), a resident of Paramount Golf Foreste and Rahul Bhati (26), a resident of Surajpur.
