CHENNAI: Irked by Metrowater`s delay in laying pipes that had rendered VC Garden First Street in Mylapore unusable, residents of the area on Thursday took R Nataraj, who represents the area in the state assembly, on a tour of `the pathetic stretch`. `The work has been on for months now. No vehicle can enter the road because of the ongoing work,` said Senthil Nathan, who lives along the stretch, pointing to how the recent spell of rain had turned the road into a sludgy mess.
