Kerala govt depts ordered to develop apps via startups

Kochi: The state government has issued an order asking all departments to approach startups registered in the state or cleared by the Kerala Start Up Mission (KSUM) for developing mobile apps for their official projects. As per the order, the government has sanctioned direct purchase of mobile applications from the list cleared by KSUM up to a cost of Rs 5 Lakhs subject to the condition that a purchasing officer can buy not more than two mobile applications in a given financial year from one startup.
