Homers not enough as Padres fall in finale

Mikie Mahtook had a run-scoring triple and added a two-run single in the ninth inning as the Tigers topped the Padres, ending their eight-game losing streak. Teammate Nicholas Castellanos added a two-run homer. Erick Aybar and Wil Myers hit home runs for the Padres, who took two-of-three games in the series.
