Hector Sanchez had a two-run, pinch-hit homer as part of a five-run eighth inning as the Padres topped the the Tigers, who dropped their eight straight games. Anibal Sanchez allowed one earned run over six innings and Andrew Romine knocked in two runs for the Tigers. Dinelson Lamet allowed two runs over six-plus innings for San Diego.
