Saturday June 23, 1900: `Two representatives of a leading music firm in Palmerston North, one on foot and the other in a trap, had some excitement yesterday. `The gentleman on foot, with whip in hand, was chasing a supposed weasel for all he was worth, while his friend in the vehicle was worked up to a pitch of excitement as the former drew near his prey, which turned out to be a knot on the end of a rope attached to an old horse which was retreating before the intruding stranger.
