As this year`s MLB Draft approached, the Braves placed Vanderbilt University pitcher Kyle Wright at the top of their wish list, with the expectation they would not have a chance to select him. But approximately an hour before the first selection was made, they gained a sense they would get their guy, and they would have to alter some of their plans for the picks that would follow.
