Third Ihsanoglu Gold Medal to be presented in Brazil in July

The A hsanoAYlu Gold Medal, granted in an international competition held once every four years for doctoral theses on the history of science in Islam, will be offered for the third time in a ceremony during the 25th International Congress of History of Science, Technology and Medicine in the Brazilian city of Rio de Janeiro in July. The medal, named after Professor Ekmeleddin A hsanoAYlu, who was Secretary-General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation from 2004 to 2014, is the first award ever to be named after a living Turkish scholar. ......
