Cleveland traffic law snag led to 63 improper jail sentences, nearly $72K in fines
(Cleveland.com Plain Dealer)
 
Cleveland Municipal Court said there were 9,407 cases in which defendants were charged under traffic ordinances inadvertently changed by the city due to a legislative mix up. In 63 cases, jail sentences were issued. Another 289 cases involved improper fines.
