The Jersusalem Post reported a large-scale cyber attack targeting more than 120 Israeli organization in the last week has been thwarted, the Israeli National Authority for Cyber Defense announced Wednesday. The attacks, launched between April 19 and 23, were introduced via malicious emails originating from both the servers of an academic institution as well as a private commercial company and targeted a variety of companies in the economy sector, government ministries, public institutions and private individuals in academia and research, the report said.
