Audio brand Sennheiser has announced a new microphone made specifically for the GoPro Hero 4 action camera. The company claims its MKE 2 elements is designed to withstand all that the GoPro camera can, and that it is even waterproof and can operate when submerged for up to 30 minutes. The microphone is built into a replacement back for the GoPro housing and is protected by a large screw-on wind shield. The microphone itself is mounted on a rubberised stalk to prevent the microphone rubbing around inside the shield. The microphone was created within the guidelines of the GoPro Developer Program, and is verified as `Works With GoPro´ - making Sennheiser the only audio company to have achieved such authentication. The Sennheiser MKE 2 elements is available from today priced $200/£180. For more information visit the Sennheiser website.
