Signature of a Loan Agreement for Financing the Potable and Irrigation Water Supply Project in Bcharre District in the Republic of Lebanon

A loan agreement was signed today in Beirut between the Republic of Lebanon and Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development (the Fund), whereby the Fund will extend a Loan of Kuwaiti Dinars (K.D) 11.2 million (equivalent to about US $ 36.96 million) to the Republic of Lebanon to participate in the financing of the Potable and Irrigation Water Supply Project in Bcharré District. Furthermore, it is worth mentioning that in extending its loans and developmental assistance, Kuwait Fund depends exclusively on its own resources.
