Balance of travel services Based on provisional data, the balance of travel services showed a surplus of EUR15 million in January 2017, compared with a surplus of EUR39 million in January 2016. More specifically, travel receipts in January 2017 fell by 2.4% to EUR165 million from EUR169 million in January 2016, whereas travel payments increased by 15.0% (January 2017: EUR150 million, January 2016: EUR130 million).
