Free roundtables, films at anthropology conference

The conference took place in Albuquerque in 2014, having been held previously in Santa Fe in 1989, 2005 and 2009. Last year’s meeting was in Vancouver, Canada. The 2017 theme is “Trails, Traditions and New Directions.� Attendees should be crowding downtown sidewalks during the Tuesday-Saturday conference. About 2,000 people, most from out of state and including visitors from 33 countries, are expected, said Nancy Owen Lewis, research associate at Santa Fe’s School for Advanced Research and program chair for the conference.
